Our Story

I started Very Betty in 2025 as a tribute to my mum Betty — a warm, nurturing soul whose love was contagious and whose spirit lit up every room. She was taken far too soon when I was just eight. Her memory has stayed with me, not loudly but gently, reminding me that love lives in the little things.

Grief has visited more than once. I lost my dad at 37 and there have been chapters that were hard to hold. But kindness, a note, a gift or a moment of care softened the edges. That’s why Very Betty exists to make those moments a little easier.

We’re here for the hard days, yes and here for the happy ones too. The milestones, the mischief, the magic and if there’s a unicorn involved, even better.

I spent most of my career in the corporate world, until the pressures of work and the weight of menopause left me burnt out. It was time to pause, to reflect and to create something that felt true.

So I took a brave breath and began Very Betty, a brand built on warmth, sentiment and the belief that small things matter.

From the handwritten note to the reusable tote, we design every detail to linger long after the gift’s been opened, the smile shared and the moment remembered.
